Dr Iacovella is an accredited supervisor for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and is actively involved in registrar training at both Basic and Advanced training levels.
Dr Iacovella is committed to quality care and preservation of autonomy and independence of the aging patient in this ever changing and challenging landscape. Quality individualised care is her motto.
Dr Iacovella has inpatient and outpatient commitment to St Vincent’s Brisbane and Greenslopes Private Hospital (with active participation in on call roster for geriatrics and internal medicine).
Dr Iacovella has private general geriatric and general physician clinics at Greenslopes Private Hospital and a specialist Memory Clinic presence (The Memory Clinic Brisbane) at St Vincent’s Link Consulting Rooms, Kangaroo Point.
Dr Iacovella is a the Geriatrician for the Healthy Ageing Programme, Mater Public Adult Hospital – an innovative programme aimed at preventing deconditioning in community dwelling elderly people admitted with an acute illness.
In addition, Dr Iacovella is the Director of Medicine and Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee, St Vincent’s Brisbane with supervision of advanced geriatric trainees and both public and private geriatric educations and management of patients.

For over twenty years Dr Pia Iacovella had been dedicated to her medical career and her patients. She has a broad experience throughout her career including rural and aboriginal experience whilst working in Cairns for several years. Dr Iacovella’s areas of special interest are dementia and geriatric rehabilitation medicine, perioperative medical support and orthogeriatrics.
Dr Iacovella is a graduate of Queensland University, accredited Geriatrician and General Physician. She has a broad experience throughout her career including rural and aboriginal experience whilst working in Cairns for several years.
